Anywyse secures investment from UvA Ventures to revolutionize Audio Learning

Anywyse, the Amsterdam-based Edtech startup, has secured a significant investment from UvA Ventures in its latest funding round. Anywyse leverages generative AI to transform written content into engaging audio learning experiences, designed to enhance knowledge retention and promote healthy learning habits.

Founded in 2021 by Julien Jukema, an alumnus of the University of Amsterdam, Anywyse is created to revolutionize the way people learn by making knowledge accessible through audio. The unique approach of Anywyse leverages generative AI to turn written content into engaging audio learning experiences in the form of 10 to 15 minutes didactic audio-bites, designed to enhance knowledge retention.

We’re thrilled to have UvA Ventures join our latest funding round as we continue to pursue our goal of providing innovative learning solutions for students with learning disabilities and those seeking a more convenient and time-efficient way to learn, by leveraging the powerful combination of academic research and technology,” said Julien Jukema, CEO of Anywyse.

Recently moved to Startup Village on Science Park, having participated in the 10X program offered by the Humanities Venture Lab, ACE Incubator program and received investment from ASIF Ventures and now UvA Ventures, Anywyse has become an example of what the strong UvA start-up ecosystem can do. “What drew us to this startup is the potential for audio technology to diversify the way of learning. Anywyse has a cutting-edge platform that has the potential to reach the group ofover 1 billion of people worldwide with dyslexia and ADHD”, says Marleen Kappert, Investment Manager at UvA Ventures.

More on Anywyse:

After undergoing chemotherapy and temporarily losing his ability to read, Jukema discovered the power of podcasts as a source of learning. However, he realized that there was no didactic podcast available that actually focused on helping listeners remember the information. This made him decide that, if he would become healthy again, that’s something he would try and change.

With over 1 billion people in the world listening to podcasts on a monthly basis and the market still growing rapidly, Anywyse is in the right space to achieve their mission: Enabling 100 million happy learners by 2030. To learn more about Anywyse and their unique approach to audio learning with AI, visit their website and book a demo today.
